I only run 73# on a daily basis, or at least weekly and have a single "O" ring Piers stage 1 head that has been port matched and smoothed out in the runners. With a marine head gasket and ARP studs, no problem for over 2 years.
Bruce right on, I have seen Fire Rings and heard of others that failed, prolly just intall issues, but as long as my O-ring works I am keeping it !!! not saying that if it gave way some day I wouldn't consider fire rings. I think alot of misconception in the o-rings is that they have to be installed right, block and head decked, you have to consider the size of the wire, protrusion, wich gasket to use, and be religous in re tourqing the head, IMO those are the secrets to continued sucess with an o-ring set up. again not knocking the Fire Rings just haven't needed them as of yet
Thanks guys. I don't think I'll get that crazy with my truck. I have NO business with that kind of POWER. Like giving a criminal a gun :-laf, but I am looking at building a small set of tow twins.
