I've been using a Car Quest for 35,000 miles. I just got a Gates from Geno's Garage which makes a nice addition to the boonie box for only $36.

I looked at one at Auto Zone approximately 6 years ago. It looked rough and all the welds looked burned. I decided to go to the dealer and get one. It cost more but it also appeared to be made better. I don't know how well they last, but it looked bad enough for me to hand it back the the parts guy and spend 3 times the amount at the dealer. For the amount saved, it is worth a shot if you buy a second for your boonie box.

I bought a Napa pump as a spare for about $50. Friend with 05' was stuck in the middle of nowhere on a holiday weekend waiting on a pump.

I went to Pep Boys and got mine, 53 bux out the door, it is a brand new Bosch water pump with a lifetime warranty. It looks like the one in the above pictures. I plan to install it next week when I'm off of work for the holidays. Mine was dripping a slight bit and at 210,000 miles I figure it's time.

What I meant to emphasize does it have a lifetime warranty.

Not sure about Autozone, but I know at PepBoys, everything that I have brought in for their Lifetime Warranty has been replaced no questions asked but that has been an alternator on my wife's previous car and brake pads on my dodge. Hope to not need it for my alternator or water pump on my Dodge.
