I just purchased a 2003 CTD HO, 4x4, 48RE auto, 10. 5" rear end. It has 95k miles. I put about 50k miles a year on the truck, towing 12k # about 10k miles of it.

At 100k I am going to go through and change all of the PM stuff (LOF, fuel filter, air filter, trans fluid, t-case fluid, diff oil, coolant, brake fluid, belts, hoses). That way, I know it has been done and I am back to my PM schedule.

-I get my filters, belts, and hoses from Geno's

Here is the plan:

-Have a trans shop do the transmission fluid/filter and trans tune up. I will provide Red Line synthetic ATF to the shop for this.

-Valvoline Blue conventional 15W-40

-Red Line 75W-90 synthetic for the diffs

-Red Line synthetic ATF for t-case

-ATE Super Gold DOT 4 Brake Fluid

-Mopar coolant / Distilled water with Red Line Water Wetter

My questions are:

-What needs to be greased on this chassis?

-Anything else I should be doing?

-Thoughts on the Red Line ATF in the Auto Trans?

-Capacity on the diffs, t-case, trans, brake system? Owners manual doesn't say!

-Suggestions on brake pads?

-Anybody see any problems with my above plans and fluids?

PM Schedule going forward after this:

-LOF every 7500 miles

-Fuel filter every 15k miles

-Air filter every 30k miles / as needed

-Diffs / t-case every 50k miles (which is about yearly)

-Brake fluid every 50k miles (which is about yearly)

-Coolant flush/fill every 50k miles (which is about yearly)

-Trans every 50k miles (which is about yearly)

-Brakes as needed

Thanks!
