2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission A quick question...

I am going to install an evaporater core in my truck this weekend. I have heard that it is smart to change out the heater core at the same time. My question is about the fan. Should I change that too or is that something I can do without removing a bunch of dash stuff. The fan was making a noise at one time but has been fine for a while so if it is easily changed later I will wait on that.

For what its worth the guy that diagnosed my truck is a long time died in the wool Ford guy who is also a Banks installer. He called asking what I had done to my truck because he was shocked at how it ran. I think his last comment was "I don't see why a man needs anything that runs like that" I told him my truck was mild compared to many. :-laf He said he really liked the motor and axles but all the Chrysler stuff was Junk. I disagree but who really cares.

Any shortcuts would be appreciated

The blower comes out very easily w/out any extra work with the housing in the truck... ... ..... if it aint broke don't fix it.

wow that seems high for a heater core. i am going to check my suppliers in the morning. the job isnt too bad. there is just a bunch of harnesses to un plug.

Do a search on Evaporator core, I had just given a basic step by step on geting the core out on a earlier post. Its not as bad as some have made it out to be.
