I have an Auto Meter, Pyro gage on my 01. Been on about 2 years. All of a sudden I'm getting false readings on the gage. It will go from 2 to 10 then fall back then back up etc. This happens wheather I'm working it or not. bought a new probe, dont seem to make any difference. Got to be the gage I presume, however everyone tells me its generally the probe. Any ideas on how I can check and see if its the gage before I go plop down $#@$%!#@$%! 175 for a new one?

If you replaced the probe and the wiring is correct I'd call Tech Support @ Auto Meter and ask them what's next?

I had a problem with mine a few months ago. I replaced the gauge and got a bum replacement. It gave me fits like you wouldn't believe. I finally e-mailed their tech support and was told to return it because they had a manufacturing problem with my new one. I'd say call them and see what they say.

Thanks, i did call teck support and they told me to unhook the gage from the probe wiring, turn on the key and the gage should read from 0 to 100, but my gage doesen't even move so it must be the gage.
