Boatman, A complete 4" exhaust system will lower your EGT at least 200 degrees at that RPM.
Also if you keep your RPM below 2500 it will not be as much of a problem.
The engine is most efficient between 1900 and 2500 RPM, above that the cylinder head and turbo begin to get backed up with exhaust heat.
A larger turbine housing will help a little at the higher rpms but performance will suffer below 2500.
I Know you don't want to give up torque!
