I need to verify some part numbers (dealer parts) before I order them for my truck:

1. Thermostat: There is 2 different numbers: 5015708AC and 5015586AA. Which one is the correct one?

2. The 2 heater hoses towards the back of the head: 55036506AB (are they the same- so 2 are needed?)

3 Upper radiator hose: 52028715

4. Lower radiator hose: 52006482AB

Thank you.

If your dead set on getting them through the dealer your best bet would be to call your local dealer with your VIN number and they will set you right up. As for the 2 different thermostat numbers, I'm guessing one is a 180* and the other is a 190*. Our trucks were designed to run the 190's and it will be more efficient than the 180 because the warmer coolant temps keep your IAT up which in turn keeps the VP timing advanced for fuel mileage. Minute amounts probably, but every little bit helps.

BTW, not sure if you ever shop through GENO'S but they have quality stuff there and will probably be substantially cheaper than the dealer.

Did not see this post the other day.

Please e-mail the complete VIN for your truck and I will verify those part numbers for you. I will also provide any Cummins numbers as a substitute that apply. As JR says, Geno's will have some or all of it as well.

I'll do it up so you can compare.
