Arter a weekend when I installed TC, VB, Input shaft, and 80 hp injectors. The truck [2003 SO] started up fine after fuel pressure was up but will only drive a couple min then will just shut down. If you try to start it right away it wont fire if you let it cool some it will. Runs but not for long. I dont have guages on they are on there way. I posted this on 911 as a reply someone else is having same prob. So if this aint where this post goes dont be too hard on me, second post and all. Thanx

should I just get rid off the lift pump and run a FASS system. Or should I replace the stock lift pump and get the FASS system also.

Any chance you have a full tank of fuel or just refueled? I have fixed 3 trucks with crud in the fuel that plugged up the screen in the bottom of the pickup in the tank. When the truck sits for awhile some of the crude falls off allowing the fuel pressure to buld back up and run for a few minutes. Only way to check is with fuel pressure gauge which will also tell you if lift pump has died.

Well I just got my truck back from my local dealer, took 3 days to get a lift pump - I found out why - they ordered replacement pump - service writer said no longer available so they ordered the updated '05 pump (in tank style).

I don't know if that is good or not - time will tell :-laf

Maybe it is just because I missed driving my truck, but seems to have more power now - lift pump may have been weak for a while. I wish I had put a pressure guage on so I knew for sure! Didn't mean to hyjack thread - hope you get yours figured out COb!

I do have a full tank so mabey thats the deal. Thanks its a place 4 me to start looking. I talked to the tech about the problem in length and he is stumped but he did find that if he cracked the fuel line loose at the fuel rail it would spray fuel and still run but if he cracked the same fuel line at the injector tube truck would die. The truck did not run rough and stall it just shut down. So would this happen on all trucks or is it related to my problem? And last if fuel press droped would the truck loose power but still run or just shut down.
