I just installed my CB radio in my truck. I have no idea where to put the antenna. If you could give me an idea it would surely help me out. Thanks, Greg
A lot of guys are gonna say the fender mount, but personally I hate the fender mount. When I bought my Dodge I already had a Wilson 5000 magnent, but it proceeded to strip my paint off the cab top. So I bought a Cobra High Gear and mounted it to my toolbox. I'll get ya a picture in a little bit, but I love it and once I got my toolbox grounded it out talked my Wilson!
Give me a little more info and I'll recommend what I would do. Toolbox? Regular bed? Utility bed? Would you want to drill to mount possible on the bed or stake pocket?
All I did was get a glass mount antenna from Radio Shack for about $40. It is painfully easy to mount on each side of your back glass and looks like a cell phone antenna. I seem to be heard as far as I can recieve. It also fits between my bed cap and the back window.
