I was getting a visual when I was read your story & it just made me cringe:eek:

Glad your alright after that one & could actually realize the positive that came from it.

Rebecca goes back to the doctor to have stitches (pin?) removed on the 12th & I will post an update then.

I continue to work w/ Leroy. Absolutely amazing trailer acceptance has been realized.

Leroy teaches me something everyday!

Mike & Rebecca,

I wish you the best of luck in your recovery. Things happen for a reason and you'll definately be a stronger person because of this.

About three weeks ago I was working on my Jeep getting ready for a big 10 day trip(been planned for about 8 months). I had been working 12-16 hour days trying to get ready, and finally the day before we were supposed to leave came.

Was working on the front axle when the carrier with the ring gear attached fell from 12-14" onto the cement garage floor. Unfortunately, it caught the tip of my pinky finger when it fell. It weighs around 75lbs I'd guess, didn't feel good. There went the trip!

I went through shock and had to go through surgery to repair the tendon and prepare the skin to be stichted(couldn't stich it because the ring gear since it is sharp had torn a lot of skin away).

I finished up my therapy today and just need to go back in 10 days to double check everything.

It gets easier everyday... Rebecca, I found out that being injured is a good time to ask for something you've been wanting for a while... I got a new remote control truck since I couldn't work on the Jeep!

OUCH!

These injury stories have been real therapeutic for Rebecca.

I personally find them very fascinating & it really opens up my basic awareness of things I never really noticed.

One forgets how easily it is to get seriously hurt & how fragile the human body really is.

Glad your allright.

Will remember you in our prayers

Isnt it wonderful to see that all these folks care, it just makes my heart smile. Mike, We too will offer up our prayers for you and your family.

My grandfather got his hand caught in a cotton stripper a few years back. Only bone was showing but he has completly recovered... and so will you!

Mike and Rebecca

Sounds bad but could of been worse, glad it wasn't.

May the road rise to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields

and, until we meet again,

may God hold you in the palm of his hands.

May The Force Be With You!

The stitches came out yesterday & the pin & button will come out in another 4 weeks.

The healing process couldn't be going any better.

Yes, Bad could have been much much worse.

Threads like this, that show the extent of caring people on this site is a highlight of our day.

Rebecca again wishes to express her thanks for everyone's thoughts & prayers while she's on the long road to recovery:)
