Thank you cguthrie I will wright that down. I am not sure TPS is fulty I did the test and have . 43 volts idle and4. 5 volts wot. smooth all the way up and back down? checked all trans connections they look good. I sprayed TPS with elect. cleaner well see what hapens?
Based on the manual, the TPS should have an upper voltage reading of 2. 25 to 2. 75 volts higher than at rest voltage... . It looks like your upper end voltage is way too high... .
I have tried to set mine with a meter like the book has said and I couldn't get it to shift right so I finely just had to drive it and stop and move the bolt a little then drive it a little more and move the bolt some more and kept doing that till I got it to shift right . It was a pain but since I set it that way but I haven't had a problem since and that is with a old TPS that I took apart and clean but I did set all the throttle linkage (and rebuilt all the rods and bushing)and the transmission kick down and brake over spring before I set the TPS. I went to the dealer and got all new bushing and springs and rods and rebuilt all the throttle linkage.
