Need Van Aaken#

I want to buy a used Van Aaken box from somebody. His came off a'99 auto, mine's a '99 stick. Will it work? What is the right part# for my application. Called Bully Dog, but they quit selling them.

My Truck: 1999 24v(ISB 235), 6-speed

YES, It will work. I've plugged the one from my '98 5spd into both a 01 6-spd and an 01 Auto. It worked fine in both.

Anyone got a tip on a boost fooler and elbow to go along w/ the VA? Thanks again.

Check the classifieds on this site for a boost module. You can usually pick one up for a great price. IMO, the VA with the boost module is a little stronger on the top end and towing EGT is lower. You can get the elbow from Piers or from Practical Solutions for a reasonable price if the boost module does not come with it. PS had them for about $12-15 each if I remember right.



ANY boost module with the right MAP connector will work fine. You need the triangle pin arrangement for the 99. The flat pin connector will not work, although I have heard Edge makes an adaptor.

Who is selling the VA these days? Looking for specs.

SteveAZ, I don't know the specs for sure or what the HP/Tq curve would look like on the dyno, but they start the fueling right off idle and add 50hp give or take a few. I think they taper down after 2700rpm or so.



I have the Bullydog version (which I believe is relabeled and has the exact same program) that I am selling if you are interested. . . drop me a PM.

Actually I have one that I'm selling too. Purchased from Bullydog in 99, has the Van Aaken label on it though. Just forgot what the numbers were.
