That is our favorite color. I would buy it in a minute. Just pop over and get it. Should be able to get it for 47 or 48. Light interiors will get dirty really easy. Drove a twin to it in the fall in Bellingham. Sure was nice. Seats are AC'd. Can't believe they still have a 2013 with a Aisin on the lot. All the Phoenix dealers had duallies or mega cab short boxes.

Go drive it. Not the far away. I will be green with envy! Chris

Dark interiors show ever stinking fiber that falls off our light colored chihuahua... I know because my current truck's interior is charcoal and it's an ongoing battle.

I stumbled across a couple of really nice 2013 SRW 3500's with Aisin's over in eastern OK, but again they had dark exterior colors with black interiors. I don't want one that bad.

Yah... what's up with that?

If I could justify owning a dually, then I'd go for it in a second because I like the way they look. But so far I haven't come up with enough good reasons to offset the many negatives (to me). To start with I don't need the extra cargo carrying capacity. A few negatives which come to mind are the extra width (difficult parking/maneuvering), heavier weight, reduced fuel economy, bigger expense for tires, PITA to rotate the tires, etc., etc.

I'm sure the "right one" will turn up somewhere / someday... no rush.

You should not have much trouble locating one.
I found a couple of 2013's Laramie Longhorns in Texas that are *exactly* what I want and are within 150 miles from my brother's house. We'll be there in March, so if they're still available by then, we'll probably go take a look.

John, these 13's should go for less than what you see on the dealers site. Someone will jump on them. Time is running out for a deal. Chris

You ought to be selling cars for a living Chris! :)

Do you really think 1-1/2 months from now I won't be able to find a Ram truck somewhere in the southwest USA that I like at a great price? I'll take the chance.

In the mean time, if something convenient turns up, I'll definitely jump on it.

My 2014 3500 SRW CC has class V hitch 21.5" off ground measuring to the inside bottom, but that will be about half an inch more with the supplied sleeve. Caveat...mine is short bed. Will try to upgrade sig, getting the '01 ready to sell.

Thanks.

Adjusting for a measurement to the inside top of the receiver tube, this correlates nicely with Joe Donnely's measurement in THIS POST.

John, reading your blog. Nice to learn about the RV stop at Tulare. I see you have a Cap on the 2001. Will that fix on a new truck, or do you let it go and get a new one? Chris

I'm not sure if the current one would fit, but we'd just get a new canopy anyway. Our current canopy has a filler neck installed on the side to the aux tank in the bed and I'd rather not try to mess with removing all that and transferring it to a new truck while we're out here on the road. Instead, I'd install a new aux tank later.
