I just ordered gauges from Racesearch.com. I ordered an Autometer Ultra-lite 2-1/16" EGT gauge part #4365. I received it the other day. I opened the box and took the protective cardboard cover off the gauge package, and noticed that the needle was pointing straight down at the six o'clock position instead of pointing at zero which is at the eight o'clock position. I didn't think this was right, so I called Racesearch.com. They checked with their warehouse and advised that the gauge is supposed to be like that until the sensor and probe are hooked up. Once everything is connected, they claim the gauge will zero itself. They did call me back promptly with this info; however, I'm skeptical. I figured I would fire off a post, as I'm sure one of my fellow members would be able to confirm this. I'm going to call Autometer when I get a chance. Does anybody have an answer for me? Thanks in advance for your time. -Glen
