Has anyone tried the new 180hp hot juice with attitude?? I just sold my 13 second duramax, and I take delivery of my 05 cummins on friday. . I've gotta get it into atleast the 14 second range. . Any dyno or quarter numbers would be very appreciated. .

Just thought I'd also say hello to everyone. . This is my first post. . I raced the dmax and won the bracket division here in south Florida last season. . That was bracket racing. . I was jealous of the pro street guys going so much faster, so I bought a 95 12 valve to use as my race truck. . Since I switched to a cummins to race, I figured I might as well switch to a new cummins as my daily ride. . I'm new to this side of the fence, so bare with me as I ask questions. . Thanks. .

Hey Morse,

Welcome to the TDR! There's at least one guy who left his DMAX for a Cummins here, he goes by Yo Hoot. I'm sure he'll pipe up. There's a few more that own both. Sadly, I don't have an answer for you, as edge doesn't make that product for my model year.

You ought to be able to wreak havoc with that undervalved truck!! Those things are wicked. Good luck and welcome!

I have the regular juice with attitude and I was able to run 8. 6 zero to sixty but have not done a quarter with it yet they also switched me from ver. 1. 0 to 1. 1 because I was having some problems with the monitor and it fixed everything and the truck even seems to have a little more power Oo. You will love it... .

I've spoke to Hoot a few times on "the diesel place". . I can't complain at all about the performance, reliability, or mpg of my duramax. . It was a great truck. . I plan on pulling my 12 valve to some races, and I really wanted to switch back to a dually. . I had a powerstroke 7. 3 dually before the dmax, and it pulled great. . So this time I went with the dodge dually so everything would eventually match. . I've also never bought a brand new cummins truck, so I wanted to try it out. . My old 95 12 valve actually pulled a trailer more comfortably than my 03 duramax, even though it was rated at much less power. . I didn't quite understand that, though it influenced me even more to go dodge this time. .

I'm anxious to see the new 180 hot juice results. . I really liked the one on the dmax. . It was easy to hook up, and easy to operate. .

Kyle, did you get any dyno numbers or times?? I'm sure there are several people here that would like to see what kind of real numbers and times the hot tune can put down. .

This is just my opinion but I would suggest going with a TST Powermax CR... The adjustability is unbeatable (99 different power settings) and it can stay with u no matter what u do to the truck in the future but single turbos tend not to like the higher settings (7 and above)... I have not done the TST/EZ stack yet but most everyone I have talked to loves it but then again that comes down to personal preference..... Hope u enjoy ur new truck as much as I enjoy mine

While we're on this horsepower subject, what will the stock H. O. clutch hold up to. My '03 has 200k on the stock clutch and i know it's still in good shape (98% hi-way miles) because it's smooth as butter. I'm kinda hesitant to run my downloader on the 130 horse setting because I would hate to slip the clutch and have to replace it before it really needs it. However when the time comes I will pony up the change and go with a southbend unit Oo. .

I would guess around 375-400 depending upon what gear, etc - and load type

I have seen the Quadzilla race box on the 140hp setting walk all over stock clutch on a 305/555 2004 with a six speed and this truck only had 40k on it we got him a Southbend con ofe and it has worked great since.

No he bought it right before going to May madness but since there was a holdup due to waiver signing He did not have it before he left. I would say probably around 200hp gain with the stack.

Just for point-of-reference

My stock SO dyno'ed at 196 -- and my last dyno with TST/EZ/Sledpuller/DPP fuel pump netted 496 -- SOOO the TST/EZ stack has enough fuel to make 300hp extra with the right amount of air (at least on a SO engine)

I will for sure be testing the HOT juice with the EZ when it comes out, So then I will have conclusive proof of what combos make what HP gains

Thanks for the input. . I went ahead and ordered the hot juice about an hour ago. . From what I read, the EZ is just a pressure box, correct?? Is the ramifier and EZ very similar?? Could I stack the hot juice with the ramifier??

I've read the stock exhaust is already a 4'' system. . If I straight pipe it, will this exhaust be decent??

Tomey was that the twins program on the TST box ??

surprisingly no, if you look at the graph, you can tell it took FOR EVER to get going, A long time to get to 12psi, and then it starts fueling till 35psi (100% fueling) Opposed to the twins program, starts at 4psi, all in by 12 :D :D

I plan on getting the twins program to get the SP66 spooling earlier and hopefully register more HP on the dyno (like maybe 515-520)

I hope to get a loaner TST box from a friend, and then I will be sending in my current box for the reflash

Not to hijack the thread but,

Tomey, how Is the SP66 doing now since you have some miles on it? Also those arent bad #'s since ScottR was 50x with EDM's and a Ramifier.

Man if we keep getting gains like this out of our poor old weak SO motors everybody is going to want one.

I should be comfortably over 500 when I get done with my build up, so thats a 300+ hp gain for me as well on a poor ole' SO :D :-laf

KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

Its nice, 1-12 psi is slow because the TST is not fueling until 12psi... But after 12psi, it is a little quicker to 18-20psi... But from 20-46psi, IN AN INSTANT!!

And although it lags a little on the bottom end, the truck feels every bit as fast from a stop... maybe because it is not so choked up fromthe 9cm housing?

I would do it again if I had another truck, I have not seen any down side to the SP66 yet... And the EGTs are much more controlable (obviously). But still i can hit 1500 on 9x9... Then again, on that setting, I lose 90hp, go figure

Let me know if you have other questions

ON EDIT - One thing I liked, I am pretty sure it is hard to break an input shaft on these turbos, I showed my friends just what a "bark" is... Let me tell ya, I like the fact that I can bark the turbo (on accident) and not crap myself thinking about breaking the stocker :)
