Help,
my buddy here at work is looking at a new truck. Found a left over 2001 CTD with an automatic and 4. 10 gears. Took it for a drive and liked it. He has a 28' trailer for the summer months and goes a good distance with it. My suggestion to him would be go for a 6 speed HO if he could, but it seems that you would have to order a new 2002 to get one of those. The price on this left over 2001 is pretty good (around 28K or so).
I told him to take a manual CTD for a test drive and he would change his mind, especially if pulling a trailer.
(He said he was also going to look at a Ford Powerstroke tonight just for a comparison).
For trailering, what do you folks think ... the leftover auto or a HO 6 speed? What are the prices of the new 2002 HO 6 speeds? Price is somewhat of a concern to my friend - also BOMBing in the future (another plus in the 6 speed column).
