Well it’s good advice on the 3500 srw. They didn’t make 1 ton srw back in 1999. Only duallys or i would have had one. In the winter you need winter tires here and then summer tires too Dulles don’t do well in snow and icey roads. Plus fitting in my garage. I only have camper on for a couple months in the summer as well so maybe 30 k out of 170 k in 20 some years. Just a good guess on my part so I have a 99 2500 that hauls a wet weight camper 2800 3000 lbs wet and pull a trailer of about 1500 lbs so about 150-200 lbs tongue weight. I have firestone airbags in the rear and rancho adjustable shocks and use the bd exhaust brake to slow it down. Seems to do ok The bd was expensive but has saved me couple times when folks pull out in front of me or I’m not paying attention paid for itself over the years
