CAnderson,

I am pretty close to sea level. The town I live in is right at 400', I had the truck up in a few of the hills (locals call mountains) around here where the altitude was around 1400'.

Doug

Shoot, if i am only at 1300 at 115 mph, i would be all:D :D 1300 now comes at about 45 mph LOL. As a matter of fact, until the ol B1 gets here, i might just put a little piece of black tape over the pyro gauge. (what i dont know cant hurt right. LOL)

EGT

IMO anyone that is only hitting 1300* on the pyro is in very safe territory and should be jumping for joy!:)

The truck we installed our first B1 turbo on was not able to exceed 1300* with stage III injectors and the comp on 5. This was at night in the winter of course but still, you get the idea:)

1300 CHILDS PLAY

When hotrodding i am constantly seeing 1500-1600 right now, like i said, if the B1 brings me down to 1300 at 110mph, i will be doing back flips, and from talking to people with one, this should be no problem for it.

The only time i even pay attention to the pyro anymore is when im towing, I dont want it over 1250 for too long. The coolest thing about this B1 from talking to guys who have it, is how much harder they can tow with it and still stay in the safe zone. Right now i am maxed out with the EZ and DD3's towing my trailer. on a hard pull, she will hover at 1200 (sea level) I can't wait for the B1 to arrive, as it sounds like i will be able to use the Pmax to tow with. LOOK out Fords you are toast (as if they werent before)

This turbo just sounds so good. We can have our cake and eat it too. (tow and hotrod)

Good lord!! You are right about the fords being toast! One negative though- can you say 5 miles to the gallon? I think you will if you tow at 400 hp all the time. I know I will, he!!, I can't even get 10 with mine towing my little TT at 65 with a stock truck! :( At least I will be able to go fast! ;)

Actually, with a 9 k fifth wheel (yeah i know not that big), driving 70 mph up and down the hills and on the flats, i get 11-12 mpg with the dd3's and the ez. I dont think thats too bad at all If i drop a couple of mpg oh well, i'll just have to get a bigger fuel tank.

I will not stop adding power untill the hitch breaks off the trailer:p then it's time to bomb the trailer:D

on my way back from bd i was at 22k gcvw and i ran 4mph over the posted speed limit and i averaged 8mpg for 725 miles. i guess i could slow down but what fun would that be?

jim

rubberneck- I don't see you worrying a whole lot about bombing the trailer if it comes off!! LOL. Cleaning up the mess would take priority I would think.

cuminntstrkn- What speed was that exactly? How much aerodynamic drag did that load have?

Kurt -

just a heads up... your email is full.

Any update on when it will ship or the prices of the two shipping methods I asked about? Just wanna make sure my new exhaust is here at the same time so less downtime waiting to install, wanna make my truck fun again.

oh where oh where can my B1 be

kwikkurt is keepin' it away from me

we had a shipping date for my car

in the future not to far

but there in the road, dead ahead

was an email that could not thread

I swerved to the right, but it was to late

and now I have no shippin' date

oh where oh where can my B1 be!!!!

sorry Kat:D--just couldn't resist... chris

Forgive my ignorance of the cost of advanced bombing and different turbos and such, but are you guys saying that a turbo(even one as cool as this B1) costs nine and a half large???:--)

Speedracer--I'll sell you one for 8:--) large ones:eek:  :D ---did you read the whole thread--a certain member got a special price for being a non-believer--don't worry he's been saved and is on the road to cooler times---

NO, nobody is selling a turbo for 9. 5 large ones----it's more like under 2k for the turbo which is the godsend for our trucks---call KwikKurt for up to date pricing... ... chris

Ok. Yeah, I read the whole thread, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention. I was gonna be shocked if that was the case, but I usually figure nothing's impossible. Anyway, I'll probably never go far enough down the bombing path to need one, just curious. Warranty's almost gone, might need some DD2's soon. But that'll probably be it, this truck's a hauler, not a hotrod. When I wanna go fast, I get on a bike.
