Mike,

I messured the mirrors today and they do extend 17" passed the door and if you extend them you get a full 20" of mirror extenstion.

I've got to wait about a month for my new set but I mounted the set I have now up and they have no vibration at all going down the road. The mirrors are just plain awesome as far as the increased amount of vision to the rear and sides of the truck.

I have the originals and they only fold in about a third of the way:mad:

They don't fold completelly flat against the window. they actually go back to where the mirror face is about 9" away from the window.

One thing is for sure they are big. Kind of givs the truck a meener look. ;)

Any chance you could post some pics with them at there normal length, extended and folded?

LIke I mentioned, I really like mine, just wish they would fold flat.

The extra extension on the new mirrors along with the integrated convex wide angle mirrors are a big plus... I am trying to talk myself into an upgrade:-{}

You must post some pics showing the meaner look!

I am very interested in these newer mirrors. I like everything about them (cheaper would be nice, but if they are good, then I think they are worth it).

I wouldn't need the flasher/turn signal, I just need the bigger mirror that extends out far enough where I could actually tell there was someone behind me!

The vibrations issues have me a little concerned though.

Here ya go guys.

I always have problem posting pics to this website so I'll give ya a link to my Webshots album.

Towing Mirrors

Like I stated before I drove around yesterday for about 2 hours and seen no vibration at all out of the units one my truck, and that's a hudge improvement over the Dodge sport mirrors that where on there.

I'm very happy with them and can't wait to hook up the camper and take it for a spin.

Thanks Darrell... . those things really stick out there!!!

With them extended I bet I can see the ladder on the back of my fiver!!

The fold in feature is about the same as the originals:( Wish they would fold flat against the glass.

Thanks for the pics

My fingures are crossed.

I had 3 guys with Dodges and one GMC come up to me at the fuel stop this evening and drool over them. :) Gave all four of them the website and then told them the bad new about the month backorder. ;) The guy with the GMC said he had some tools if the other 3 would hold me down.

Mine are on the way, should be here Thursday, I got the manual mirrors, figure I've had the OEM manual tow mirrors and have been fine without power (for now at least). I'll put pics in my RR section as soon as I get them on.

I installed a set last weekend. So far so good. Only one minor issue with my install - the teminals provided on the end of the wires didn't fit into the OEM plug end on the old mirrors ('97. ) I ended up cutting a 6" pigtail from the old mirrors and butt splicing them to the new mirrors. Other than that, easy install. No vibration yet.

(Please don't vibrate, please don't vibrate, please don't vibrate)... .

Help me out here guys, lets pray they don't vibrate cause I want a set real bad. :)

From mirror to mirror I messured 103", so yes it will fit in a 9' opening but you better be a good driver. :D

Saw a set of these on a 3rd gen yesterday. I had to look twice to make sure it was a Dodge and not a Ferd... . Nice looking, just made me think it was ferd at first. :D
