Time to replace my clutch. Need suggestions on brand. I plan on going back with a strong stock type(don't need upgraded clutch).

My clutch has started slipping a little under hard acceleration. I'm wondering which clutch to go with as well. I'm also looking for suggestions. Why not go with an upgraded clutch? Aren't the stock clutches a little on the weak side? Thanks for starting this thread... -Trey

Gen II Ram factory clutches were made by LUK. Don't know if they are still the OEM supplier.

For stock or mildly modified engines they worked perfectly. Aftermarket clutches will perform better behind highly modified engines but will give up some drivability.

Read the reviews on the South Bend Con OFE. I just don't see how you could go wrong with this clutch. This is what I plan to go with when I replace my clutch.

i just recently replace mine with the street dual disc by sbc. other than bean a litle price i love it. it grabs hard but is still very streetable. they designed it to hold big hp an still tow. well worth it

An OFE doesn't make sense for stock power. The more HP a clutch can hold, the grabbier it gets, so there's no reason to give up drivability if you don't need to (or spend the extra $200). The all-organic Con-O would do just fine.

I have the Con-o with my mods and so far no problems. Smooth engagement. This is the 13" kit though. Don't horse it but do tow heavy.

try blumenthol they seemed to be pretty reasonable on price for a little bit more heavy duty clutch, or if you want to stay stock i just purchased one from carquest $360$ ill let you know what kind it is when i get it and how i like it after i install it tomorrow after i install it
