Yeah I still have the one wheel spin. Kinda lame for burn outs. I need to step it up to a dana 80 though. I am waiting for this 70 to explode. Then I will see what my options are. Hey its good to hear from you again roadhawg.

I just had mine put in and haven't noticed any difference. May have to wait till some foul weather comes to find out how good it is. Some guys were talking about the horrors if it comes unglued in a bend with a trailer hooked up to the truck. You know anything about this? Seems fine now.

I've driven it some now and I can tell a big difference. Driveways that are gravel and sloped aren't nearly the tire spinning PITA they once were. :)

I had mine up in the hills the other day going up a long steep climb weaving through trees stumps and rocks with some pretty good frame twists.

I always had to lock it in 4wd before, you can imagine my suprise when i topped out in 2wd. It was especially good in the twists. I kept driving right through the spots it used to spinout on. I even turned around and tryed to back up but the wheels would go into the grooves that people have dug over the years but it spun out in the same holes that it used to in 2wd going foreward. Just to much wieght when the cummins is nose down shifted away from the traction wheels when trying to backup. Had alot of fun playing :)

As far as having bad manners while towing? I couldn't say, I haven't been in a rig with a detroit locker while towing. But I have hauled with it with no problems. Went across the scales at coffin butte on hiway 99w and wieghed in at 8750lbs :)

I think it's going to be fine for everthing I do.

Iput mine in about 3 weeks ago, Had one in a older truck and loved it. I never had a problem pulling my trailer, And I have pulled twice with this one so far and no problems. Trailer weighs 7500lbs plus.

Well I am on my third one. (DANA 70) :-laf :-laf Spun the teeth off the pinion the first time. Had a guy rebuild it and it lasted a couple of years. Then I bought a parts pickup and stole the one out of it. It seems to be holding up so far. I have had it in for about 2 years or so.

I've driven the truck for a week and a half and it only unlocks occassionally and you get the clank momentarily and its fine. Do rear tires wear more evenly or less. I'm waiting for the snow now. Oo.
