It is interesting GM has developed a 3 liter inline 6 to go in the next generation Silverado!

At the same time Ram is sketchy about whether or not the EcoDiesel will continue in the next generation 1500. I have long wished for a straight 6 in a half ton pickup, it'll certainly be tempting to check out the new Silverado if/when the diesel option actually comes to fruition. But Robert Patton is right about the styling of the new Silverado, not very attractive if you ask me...too tall of front end with massively tall pushed-up strangely angular bumper and narrow grille with squinty headlights. The current generation Silverado looks far better. Good news is GM has hinted the engine may find its way into SUVs as well, hopefully they won't mess up the styling as badly on those. I do like styling of the current generation large SUVs GM offers.
