I'm looking for a new floor mat for my 93 4wd. I bought one online last summer and finally got around to putting it in yesterday and the thing was dry rotted and cracked right out of the box. The truck had a carpet in it previously but for what I do, a nice heavy rubber mat would be much better. Does anyone have a solution. Thanks

are you talking about an entire front floor mat? not just driver or passenger side? if so, an old trick is to just get an old scrap of house carpet and cut it to fit. then just trash it once its to filthy and put in another. or astroturf. if you really want rubber, try a stall mat. they can be anywhere from 1/8inch thick to 3/4inch thick. and you can get them big enough and just cut it to fit.

just my 2cents

Jimmy- that's a little too redneck, even for my taste.

My girlfriend got a vinyl floor for my pickup about a year and a half ago. I'll have to pick her brain to remember exactly who it was.

hhhah oh common now daniel. :D thats what dad always did for mats in the family station wagons growing up... get the left over carpet from the house cut it all to fit every inch of floor in the thing. was real cozy on them long trips as a kid. in our company trucks we do the stall mat thing. im bout to do that in my truck to. but then again im more about functionality then fashionality, (yea i think i made that word up :D) :-laf

I took the old filthy carpet out and have been going bareback for a couple of days. Whew, every noise the truck makes comes back through the cab. I may just clean the old one a best I can and put it back in with a couple of rubber mats or mud flaps on top till I have time to mess with come kind of new full coverage. Thanks for the ideas

I'm pretty sure JCWhitney sells custom cut and molded carpet for our year trucks. I've been thinkin about doing that myself. I believe they even cover all the way up the back wall if you have an extended cab, too, just like oem.

The ONLY place on earth to order replacement carpet or full rubber floor covering is from Auto Custom Carpets (ACC).

I've had their stuff several times including now in my 1991. 5 regular cab. Got a rubber floor. Nice, fits and looks OEM. Thick too. In fact... better than OEM. Especially if you have a Ford.

It comes folded in the box but is pressure formed to fit perfectly to your application. Unfold it, let it soak in the sun all day prior to installation to settle out. Top notch. Easy to order. Good people on the phone to deal with. You can even get colors or camo if thats your thing.
