Something on your machine has to be restricting the cookie from being set. I'm not familiar with Mac's at all so I have no clue where to point you. Other Mac users - any ideas?

I changed to Mac Test Style, but it didn't fix my having to sign in every time. Remember me box is checked, cleaned cookies, lowered secrurity settings.

Performance is spotty and generally slow. I don't like waiting more time for a response than it takes for me to type a reply or post. Sometimes is expected but I've noticed overall this is a slow site.

Past day or two it has been spotty. Right now it is terribly slow... Prior to that, most often it really flies. .

There have been some VERY high server loads the last couple of nights looking at the logs. I'm looking into what caused them. In general performance should not be slow - the majority of the time pages load in 2 or 3 seconds for me on a dsl connection. What we have seen is that system issues can cause extremely slow performance with this software due to the amount of Javascript that it uses. What internet security software are you running Yo Hoot? Things like zonealarm, norton internet security, etc, etc.

Slowness

Steve. . I am running ZoneAlarm and Norton's Firewall, but have been for months. No changes on this end, and going to other sites in the past few minutes I don't see any such slowdown. . Gerry

You should only run ONE firewall, not two. You are unnecessarily slowing down your throughput by having two running at the same time. Choose one or the other and turn off the 2nd one.



Also, if you happen to be running Windows XP, verify that it is not also running its' pittifully inadequate version of a firewall. Definitely turn off XP's firewall. It doesn't even bother to check outgoing stuff at all. A poor excuse for a firewall.

Forgot to mention, if your JAVA package is out of date, the Javascript files used on TDR will really drag slow. That is evident when TDR loads slow, but other forum boards seem to be okay.
