how much is a trillion?

I just got back into town. Woke up made coffee and went to my rocker on the porch. When the sun came up seems like I have some new neighbors that moved in BIL said they have been there for a couple of weeks. How dare they just move in and eat my grass and water without even asking. BIL said that the hills are just loaded with Elk but sure as hell the opening day there will be none in site. kind of a nice backyard isnt it

Well, BIGNASTY, I know for a fact (during a marathon trip to pick up a Kawasaki Concours) my driveway to Bozeman is 12 hours. Myself and Mr. Winchester could be there to help round up a few into your freezer..... Looks like you have a nice piece of land.

You might have a problem rounding up any of the wild game on the property. There is a little lady that lives and YES tell's me what to do when it comes to them. I will be man enough to admit this ( only if she let's me ):-laf I made mention of liking the looks of Buffalo and how they are a symbol of the American west. Know she's hell bent for election to have a pair (not to eat) but as pets like we dont have enough to feed around here not to mention all the CRAP. Our pet's include 3 dogs 2cats 7 mules 1 horse 1 beef (that's going on the table) and 1pig also going on the table and a house full of chicken's I like the fresh eggs. Let me tell you thats allot of I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER to deal with and the food isnt that bad but WHO goes to the feed store to get it bring it home and unloads it ME. Oh and the name she wants for the Buffalos are BUFF and FLO after 35 years of marriage YES I have learned to not laugh roll my eyes or make any social indignant comment. Her brother and I just go work on the house and laugh but not when she's around. You have Im sure heard about the way some lady's have been cutting off parts of their MALE counterparts body. I have seen this one on hunting trips for ELK and Deer field dress them faster than any 2 men and she works with only 2 tools an knife and a cleaver so you want to round up any of HER pets have at it my friend just dont include my name in any conversation with her. ITS HARD TO SLEEP WITH ONE EYE OPEN

Greg,

I was wondering how long it would take for your . 02$.

Oh give me a home where the Buff and Flo roam... ... ... ... ... .....

And they all feed at known distances... ... ... .

And they fall close to home..... and never more roam... .....

Cause they joined us for dinner last Sunday... ... ...

Where the deer are served up next... ... ... .

OK, I'm leaving.

I'm sitting here laughin my arse off Mountain Man.

I'm still laughin, can't help it.

Keep yer power dry and yer possibles close by.

Hey Greg, sorta rhymes, don't it?

Nice. My mind is already shifting into overdrive.....

For a tip, start feeding them. It'll make it all worth while in the end. After they find the feed, start moving it closer to something she likes... . like her car, house, chicken house, whatever. When the rut comes about, which is soon, they'll be carving those stack on whatever they find closeby... ... then you might just have to be in the right place at the right time, and you might get a chance to fill your freezer... ... my mother was much the same way. And, the more you feed, the more will come around, so it's easier to blame one missing on some random hunter down the road... ... :D (and feeding them will make them keep coming around after one comes up "missing") You could also start to feed in two places. One close to the house in sight, and another just over the hill, out of sight. The blood stains won't be easily noticed there.

Also, there's always the weekend she's gone. Or few hours. I don't know if I could resist... . I already sleep with one eye open, so I don't know if it's that bad..... and, as I have to remind my wife from time to time... . I work on the brakes around here..... :p

She takes a head count all the time. And so do I :-laf I wont shoot anything close to the house unless it was endangering the stock. I have lived most of my life in So Cal and having a ZOO this close everyday is great. Its different in Cal I went out and took the trash to the curb here I take out the trash packin a 44 its brings a whole new meaning to can you take the trash out now not later when its dark.

... . I think I'd feel safer in Montana than SoCal..... just from what I've seen!!;)

Gary, By accident:-laf! Dont let it go t' yer head:D

My possibles are dry and riflegun freshly cleaned.

Loaded up some more, today. Some of that white powder special, new fangeled high velocity(comparatively) stuffOo.

BIGNASTY knows about that, cause he loads by the sack of powder for his "crew served" Elk getter:-laf.

Welcome back, BIGNASTY! GregH

Thank's Greg it's good to be back on American soil again. Nothing wrong with France except Paris but Im always aware of what is going on around us it makes a guy tired at the end of the day pulling security duty. The Tour de France is a mad house at times but it was WELL WORTH the effort to see the 3 weeks and complete a dream ive had for years. Ya that 338/378 really chew's up powder 100 gr + with every pull of the trigger. Got the shoulder and recoil prob fixed by the way now it just stings real good instead of seeing little purple stars when I torch off a round.

Glad you had fun. Your talk about the stars made me think of Shawn George from Dallas, Tx. We were shooting at a TSRA/Fort Wolter's shoot a few years back, and he's getting older, upper 50s I'd guess. He said it started when he was about 35, whenever he'd get on the ground for prone, he'd start to see "swimmers" in his eyesight from straining to get slung up and in position. Now he says whenever he gets down and ready to shoot it looks more like "battleship row" going by on parade!!! :-laf (It's funny until it happens to me!)

... . and you know, a . 338 would do wonders for taking down an elk... . :D

It is nice to see them and know they're there. I get a few mule deer and lots of whitetail that come up in my driveway where my mother and I feed 'em. They're considered in Momma's "Red Zone" and not in season, no matter what the game warden sez'. Still, when the 14point was there three years ago, it was awful temptin'... ...

Holy whats next Batman!

We got a guy doing something with the Tour, surviving Paris (sorry -yuck) we have guys making hyper rounds with a special white powder and 100 gr at a time to boot, OUCH! boy I've missed something fer sure. Gotta get out of the office sooner rather than later.

Great fun, and Bill that's a nice view too.

Ya I like to ride bicycles as a kid I was into cross country and could just enjoy running for runnings sake. Then when I did more grown up things like go to Viet Nam on Dec 22 1972 I was running for another reason (my life). When the VC hit the wire and I ran out of ammo ya I admit it I RAN but not fast enough lost part of my leg and so running was kind of like driving with a flat tire. Thump Thump Thump. Had an substance abuse problem and had to rehab some how I always like the feeling of air rushing around as I ran. Cycling gives me that same HIGH. At 6ft 6 in tall and around 200lbs (210lbs French food is very rich) I can wear cycling short's and not be ashamed about it. Try riding a bicycle for 100 + miles in a day not at the beach but try the mountains. And then do it for 3 weeks and thats what the Tour de France is about. Those guys are hauling some serious A** not out for some spin around the block. And most of all I like it :D
