Do the 305/555 engines run that much boost? I like the look of the 35 lbs gauge better, but will go with the 60 lbs gauge if necessary.

Engines that have aluminum pistons will begin to self destruct if EGT gets above 1250. The CTD does NOT have aluminum pistons. It is an alloy that should be safe at 1500 or so.
Having said that, I will never let mine get above 1400.

Are you referring to the 2nd Gens as well as the 03 & 04's, or just the 04. 5, 600?
In the 2 Gens, 1250 to 1300 was always consider maximun EGT's.
What is the limit for EGT's on 03's & 04's (305HP's)?

No drone... not loud enough for my taste... LOTS of turbo noise... LOTS!!! I get the standard cummins acceleration BRRRAAAAPPPPPP but only from 2100-2700 RPMs... . I like i, but I sometimes wonder if I wouldn't have been happier with a straight pipe.
At idle the truck sounds nearly stock... I little pop of the throttle provides a little throatier sound... and then under full acceleration it sounds much louder... I like the turbo noise it puts out, but it's still not as loud as my buddy's MBRP.
I would probably do it again for the price... $180 total job.
I think it might sound better once I get a box put on the truck.
