"cummings"

^^^^^^^^ this is your problem! Start calling it what it is and it may return better mileage "CUMMINS".

Get your old truck on the scales and your new truck. May be a tad bit of difference in weight.

At 75mph you will see MUCH lower mpg than at 60-65.

Fill in your public signature. Year model SB/LB etc.

And yet you wonder why you get shi!!, is there maybe a nicer way, or maybe a smiley face or two. Good lord man, don't you ever stop ,and think before you put that keyboard in action, give the guy a break, he told us what his truck was in his first post, good enough. You can't get the spelling right on the ASSSS Oil you run !!!!!

Here is the facts on the 2500,3500 Ram SRW, 17-19 with normal freeway driving, sure you can pedal it lightly , and hold 55-60 , and get that 20-22, but its not the norm, I have gotten 21.5 at 55 mph for 120 miles. Towing depending on weight ,you are going to see anywhere from 8-12. Normal city driving 14-16. Anybody that reports much better with the 6.7, has a magic truck. :)

Wow, a beer thread. I'm a true beer drinker... anything with the word beer on it. PBR, Falstaf, Schaefer, Pearl, Lone Star, generic beer, root beer. I guess my half German half Polish ancestry contributes. Here's to y'all! Ron

Did you find a REAL Beer?
I'm still searching for it... to me some are ok and drink able but as a swiss I have high expectations for Beer.
this forums got some funny characters here,,, ohh what the hell with it
its a beer thread now, i did a test 5 yrs ago which consisted a 12 pack a week and changing it every week for 1 full year to test which beers i would start drinking, i tasted all ambers, fosters, buds, shiners, hinacan, becks red strips sam beers, mexican beers to many to list and i ended up coming back to COORS LIGHT!!!! dont ask me yyyyy i just did

now my favorites are the dark beers. Guiness is good. Went through Germany, Poland and Chech Republic drinking beer and eating sausage and brats. My usual local is Shiner Bach. mmm.

ps, forgot another favorite Samuel Adam's Boston Lager. :D

Just wait he will snipe you too.

Don’t think I have to put a smiley face after just to make someone understand it was meant to be informative and humorous at the same time.

Hang around long enough and you will see.

Try running some Amsoil injector clean, and cetaine boost in a tank or two. Also make sure your air filter, fuel filters, and mass air flow sensor are in good shape. My truck wasent as good as it is now before I serviced it. I also run amsoil 15 40 in the crankcase. The oil air filter( k n )that was in there seemed too hurt my millage. went too a wix . just my experience. however i always drive on levelo_O ground here in South Texas.

What state do you live in and do they do emission testing?

My 2008, 2500 Mega Cab, 6.7L Cummins, 4X4, 68RFE Auto with 3:73 gears can get between 18 and 20 MPG depending on speed when not towing on the highway. Normal city drive day to day I see between 13 to 15 MPG. Towing a Cedar Creek 5er that is 13.6 feet tall on flat land I will get between 10 and 12 mpg depending on wind conditions, at 65MPH. In the mountains I have been able to achieve 8 to 11 MPG's depending on road traffic and head winds. I have 10 years of hand calculated data and going on my eleventh year to back up these claims.

My point is that the Cummins engine takes time to break in and fuel mileage does improve over time. In my case it went up considerable amount in Aug 2009.

jim w, i have a 2016 2500 6.7 crewcab 4x4, 3.42 gear auto with the 68rfe, ALL FACTORY n i just turned 30,000
i live in west texas, dry climate most of the year 4000-4400' above sea level,
as i stated in my 1st post, i hav always gotten those number even when i bought the truck new, n 30000 miles later its the same +,- 1, so mayb my truck needs another 20,000more miles to loosen up a little more huh,
no emissions here for diesels other than basic lights n wipers n insurance u know crap like that

Beer thread. Mmmm.
When i buy beer I've been stuck on the IPA's lately. Southern Tier, a microbrewery not too far from me, makes a killer 2x IPA. Great Lakes brewery is also local and makes some good seasonal brews.
Best part is at 8-9%, it takes half as many ;)

IPA's are what I've been stuck on for the most part of the 21st Century! Southern Tier is great and I most frequently enjoy Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA and anything they brew from time to time!
The 8-9% is a plus too!
