New headlights...best alternative for OEM replacments

I need new headlights on the '01. Does anyone have a good source for OEM replacements that look exactly the same without the annoying blue LED look? Do the blinkers come with them?

How easy are they to replace?

They are easy to replace . I have not found a decent aftermarket light anywhere at any price . Are oem lights still avail bile at the dealer

I bought a set from genos and they didn’t last two years . I do spend a lot of time driving down rough gravel roads and through fields so maybe you’ll have better luck. genos usually has pretty good parts

I'm in the process of buffing mine out. Just doing it by hand for right now. Seems to be working very well. There isn't nothing like the OEM's.

I replaced mine with Genos' replacements (non-sport) several years ago. Good lighting and the lenses are not deteriorating. I recommend them.

I’m fixing to buy some new headlight lenses also. I’ve found some on Amaz0n for $53.00 and they are an Amaz0n Choice item. All the reviews on them are good and they include the side blinker housing

I put a set of the standard assemblies from Amazon in BillBaker’s truck a few months ago. They were well made and had all the adjustments, same as the OE assemblies. I wouldn’t hesitate to put a set in my truck.

I had to remove the top bumper cover to get my driver side headlight assembly out, the passenger side slid right out towards the radiator with no problem.

Probably easier and less chance of messing up the bumper cap if you just loosen the bumper brackets at the frame and let it down. Just six bolts, if I remember correctly.

I bought sport headlights from Headlight Depot, and the light output sucked when compared to my old OEM non sport light. I sent them back. If I could get OEM sport lights, I'd buy them. OEM only.

Look on EBAY sometimes someone will have a nice OE set for sale.

I just buffed mine out last week. I spent a bunch of time looking on line for replacement housings. I gave up for under 180$. So I paid 125$ for a reliable set of HIDs. (Was going HID anyways) Installed them and job done. I think they look fine and the light output is 200x better. If it were not that The truck is new to me and I am doing other upgrades, all of which must be cost and efficiency driven, I would spend the money on "looks".

A couple years I bought a replacement set from DAP for my yellowing OEM Sport headlights. The look good but I've had nothing but trouble with alignment of the beam and low light quality because they're coated with something to prevent yellowing which unfortunately also makes them look slightly smoked. I'd replace them again with OEM but they're no longer available...

I visit some detailing sites daily. I have not seen or heard of a long term kit yet although they all seem to claim it. The best that I have seen or heard is to sand the lenses with fine grade wet/dry paper and spray with 2k clear (epoxy clear). It is more work but the long term is outstanding. If you remove the lights instead of trying to paper off the front end that is a better solution. You can find the procedure online with a search and most are videos.
