Since all you're really talking is racing, not towing or hauling, why not turbo charge a HEMI and run it against a CTD? I know, I know it won't last 500,000miles, and all that happy BS. I'm talking 1/4 mile. CTD vs. HemiTurbo or Hemisupercharged. Horsepower is horsepower, I don't care what makes it or how long it lasts as long as it goes 1/4 mile. That being said, I love my CTD and wouldn't trade it for a HEMI truck.
You guys ever drive an A body big block? My duster with a 451 will get sideways at 45mph. fun and scary.
580 ftlbs @2200rpm and 425 hp @ 4700rpm at the flywheel. I think that's a little more than enough to move a 7000lbs truck.

Not all of us buy into that stereotype. We just don't necessarily need to spend the extra 10 grand on a truck with a Cummins in it. With that said, how much extra have you guys spent BOMBing your Cummins so it could touch a Hemi, because a stock Cummins won't? And yes, I have driven the new ones, for comparison.
