VGT
Hmm. I wonder if we can 'upgrade' to a variable geometry turbocharger in our trucks. Anyone know about the VGT's? The Cummins press release also mentioned some additional engine electronics required to use the VGT.
From what I've read about the VGT's, they seem to solve allot of the problems of choosing between low RPM boost or a better top-end boost.
And what about the common rail injection system? Anyone familiar with this setup? The Cummins press release mentioned better responsiveness over the RPM range (especially low end) and a 2% increase in MPG. Is there an aftermarket upgrade available? ... ... .
