New keyless entry off eBay, where does it plug in?

Just got the reciever and two key fobs. Where does the reciever plug in at? It is the standard mopar keyless entry.

The main unit for the Keyless entry is under the steer column. take off the lower panel under the column..... (by your feet, into the main dash)... and look up into it. toward the left is the main wire junction. Over to the right is the area for the unit. Mine is a black box. You might find a big plug-in place there for the unit.

are all trucks pre-wired for the keyless option? i don't have it on my 99, but it sure would be nice... can i just buy the box and the fobs and plug it in and have keyless entry??

i am having a hard time locating the connector. anyone have any better descriptions. once i find it though i will take a picture for those of you who have yet to do this.

What year is your truck?



On my wife's 2003, it was on the back of the instrument cluster.



I did the Mopar keyless upgrade on her truck. It took about 10 minutes total. Beware though, you have to have a dealership tech "enable" the keyless with their scan tool.

mine is a 2002 so i am sure it is not in the same location. yes i am aware it is going to cost me 35 bucks just to get it to work.
