Im kinda emabarresed to ask so go easy on me. My dad was a machinist but since he worked at a factory he never had the opportunity to teach me... .
I just bought a logan model 850 lathe and the I think its called a tool post is missing (picture below). I need to go back to the sellers house and look for it. If I cant find it should I buy an original piece, there appear to be some on ebay, or should I buy one of the fancy aftermarket quick change do hickies???
Also if you are a machinist and would like to help me out please post up your offer. My dad sold off some of his tools but I still have boxes of stuff I know they are bit holders and other attachments for lathes and milling machines but have no idea what some of them do. I would like to post up some pictures and see if they can be identified. My dad handmade most of the pieces and I know it would of made him happy to see me using them
