oh, well you're safe with bailing wire. at least bailing wire doesnt loose adhesive when gas gets on it!!

update on the scout. rear frame only sticks out 8" now, cant do much about it though, the shackles gots to be back there somehow. still got the 2 gallon gas can for a tank and need to upgrade to a 5 gallon. I almost ran out of gas throwing burnouts, which is A LOT easier with no weight in back. Im kinda scared to go down hills now, it feels like Im going to endo pretty easly.

Maybe you need a big girlfriend to sit in the back seat... .

What are you planning on doing permenantly for the gas tank?

--Jeff

im tellin you we can put a stinger on that front bumper pretty easily, just find a caster and well do it this weekend. let me know what you wanna do with the bender. i have a 5 gallon gas can if you need it.

hmm I'll try the fat chick thing. gas tank will be 16 gallon fuel cell. thinking of going smaller but I cant with my motor wouldnt get very far. what Im doing for weight will be the gas tank, spare battery relocated to back, high lift, tools and taking out the heater core and maybe inner fenders. all thats left in front is motor radiator and fan. plus the body. kinda sucks having a 700 lb motor up n front.

yeah, with that heavy of a motor, you might as well cummin-ize it.

I've been looking on ebay for a fuel cell for Evan Johnsons car (we're gonna turbo it  ), and there are quite a few good deals. there was one 14gal that ended sunday for like 65$+ shipping.

heck, a new one is like only 135$ I think.....

If you want help finding a fat chick for ballast, dont call me.

Oh, BTW, did you hear that skyler's car ran 10. 8? then he took it home and stripped it, and sold it!!!! He is putting the motor in a fox body now instead... .

:--) WHAT!! whats wrong whith that guy guess he likes the building of the cars better than the driving.

oh Ive checked on ebay a while back and they are about the same as jeggs.

White 2nd gen on paseo....

I saw a white 2nd gen on paseo the other day. It had a TDR grille badge, and a road armor rear bumper. Nice lookin truck. Does anyone know who it is??? I think it had a KAFB base decal on it also.....

yea, im coaching a little league team this year and its one of the kids dads. i havent had a chance to chase him down and BS yet, i will here soon. i was actually gunna ask if he was a NM member yet, but now i will mention that too

Maybe Mine on Paseo...

If the truck you saw was dirtier than heck, it was me. No time to wash, no time to meet up with you guys. Been in the TDR since before ordering my truck in '97. Always wanted to do a Bob's or Bea's meet, but I was in a job that pretty much had me locked down during much of the day in TA IV.

LOtero, are you coaching up at Roadrunner? My youngest is playing Rookie, oldest in Majors.

Hope to catch up with someone sometime.

Nice Third Gen Spotted

I was test driving a vehicle yesterday and saw a sweet 3rd gen dual stacks looked like 5", no bed, and what looked like a big rig fuel tank behind the cab. he was pulling a gooseneck and rolling smoke out them stacks. Oo. almost ran into the curb  trying to see better. looked friggin sweet!!

yea i coach at roadrunner, so brandon is your son? that kid can hit! anyway yea we will catch up one of these days. .

Yeah he does alright. He's always in competition with his older brother. I was pitching him golf wiffle balls for batting practice this weekend to get him to follow that ball into the bat. I need to have him use a stickball bat next.

hope to talk soon.

Yeah, come to think of it, I saw your truck waiting in line at the eubank gate one day. But I thought a woman was driving maybe??? Does your wife work at SNL too??

TA IV huh?? Which bldg you work in? Im out at 960, 965 and 962 quite often...

I like the road armor bumper. I wanna build one like that...
