Thanks, and yeah that 22 mpg is nice, but I know I'll be getting somewhere around 10 mpg towing 9200 lbs. Fuel prices here are $3.29. On the I-40 today I saw $3.69 at Loves and Pilot just outside of Knoxville. I bet it's close to $6.00 in Nor-Cal.

Get used to use the "gasbuddy" app on your phone, it will save you a ton of money.
Most stations along the interstates are up to 20ct or more expensive then the average price for the region.

Just arrived into Sacramento from Michigan. Then into Arcata. 299 is always a hoot. Based in Michigan, been making this run for over 12 years.
So far I see 4.55.But Neveda is 4.10...
Enjoy!!

Anyone traveling on a regular basis should get the EFS card. Its a money saver and costs nothing out of pocket to get or keep.

"EFS Fleet Card | For Full Control Over Fuel and Cash | WEX Inc." https://www.efsllc.com/fuel-card/efs-fleet-card/

The TA nearest me advertised pump price is $3.74. The price using EFS card is $3.45 which is right in line with the cheapest advertised pump price in this area according to Gas Buddy. Generally the EFS prices beat the local stations by a few cents. The convenience of using the truck stops right off the freeway rather than taking a chance on a small gas station when dragging a trailer or 5er around in an area you aren't familiar with is another big advantage of having an EFS card.

Thanks for the info. Not looking forward to the West's fuel prices.

Thanks for the reminder. When we stopped full-timing 6 years ago I deleted all my traveling apps like gas buddy, and a couple of campground locator apps. I better get busy .

This........

I’ve had my EFS card for about 1.25 years and it has realllllly helped with my bottom line. Started out with great pricing at Love’s and Pilot-Flying J (and still receive about an $0.18/gallon discount) then EFS switched to T/A and Petro for the best deals. Although it’s all about the discount....Love’s has T/A and Petro beat in regards to locations, cleanliness of locations, and on-site products (snacks, food, etc.)

Fuel will be cheaper in Oregon.

Just saw 5.05 in Arcata.
$5.09 In Eureka. Outrageous.
Picture of 1st night outside Nashville, then moored up in our final stop. 12 more days of hanging out then it's back to TN. I-40 beat up my truck and trailer. Might take 80 home if it's not snowing up there.

When I went through OR a few weeks ago it was $1.xx/g cheaper than in CA. Seven Feathers (on I5 about 100 miles from CA border) was cheapest, and now their site says $3.35 unleaded and $3.24 commercial diesel.

We are leaving and heading to Sacramento tomorrow. Heads up. Horrible weather and it will be days of heavy rain. Will keep you updated.

Heads up lots of rock slides on 299. We are on 101/20 clearlake and some delays but moving along ok.
Bring your rubber boots. lots of rain next few days
