OMG...

No kidding. It always an experience when the wife wants a new car. I got real nervous when we hit the mazda dealer, as well as Nobama motors (GM).

The thing about the Hemi's is that there is still some iron in the engines!!

Mine knows better than to even step foot on a GM lot... . I wouldnt even look at a Mopar that was sitting on the same lot as a GM dealership!!!. . So far, she absolutely LOVES the Mazda... and I have to say, I'm impressed as well. .

I like it MUCH better than the JEEP CG she had. . It (the Mazda) holds its resale MUCH better than the Jeep... THis is important for us due to her getting a new vehicle every 2-3 years... .

Its hard to beat the refinement and quality of Japanese products even though it stirs up the "buy-American" sentiment.

American auto manufacturers simply do not build many products in their car lines that are competitive with Japanese sedans and suvs. I wouldn't own anything in the Chrysler line except the Charger hemi, 300C, and the new high performance coupe whatever it's name is.

Furd builds police cars, nothing else. And NObama Motors builds Corvettes.

... It was definitely my work boot that was the problem. I shut it down at 140 mph when I ran out of freeway. Im not sure how much faster it would have gone. I will say this though, the traffic that was probably doing around 70 were like parked cars:eek:. ...

Remembered the lead-lined comfort innersoles this time?

It sure is exhilarating driving at that speed. I went up and across San Augustine Pass (Las Cruces) at 110 once (there was a motorcycle right behind me on that run), and maxed out at 141 down the White Sands side. The well-space power poles looked like telephone poles on a city street. When the few cars got to be closer than 1/4 mile apart, they were too thick and I slowed down to a more reasonable speed. I could make the Las Cruces-Cloudcroft-Hobbs(NM) run in, I think, 2:20, which included having somewhat limited speed through the mountains, slowing down to the speed limit in each of the little towns along the way, and a fuel stop; the Formula 350 had a tiny fuel tank. Cruise control at 115 sure made the driving easy. :D

Nice to see they still know how to build fun cars.

I agree about the rush one gets from 100+ mph speeds (motorcycles), im no stranger to it. It is not for the unexperienced which makes me wonder why this car goes this fast being sold in California. The drivers in Calif are complete idiots. #@$%!
