Here are our light load weights this morning at an Oregon DOT scale. Only added one truck load of stuff so far. I am happy. Had some wind today, and with extra length and full height roof all the way back I could feel it.

T 11450
GW 22600

I'm sure it's just something new, and will soon wear in like a pair of shoes

OK, got after market camera installed in the bed box and routed through the truck to the TFT 4.3" after market display. On this display, if it sees input on the second input, it switches to that picture. So I have two mini toggle switches now. First one turns on the display and the front grill/bumper view and the second one gives power to the bed view camera.

Black dot is the camera.

Here is a view getting ready to lift the hitch assembly up.

It was Sunday and junk drawer at home was available. I thought about a center off switch, however it would take a double pole switch I believe just doing it in my head.

You are dealing with three things

Power to the display
Power to the front camera
Power to the rear camera

So you would require one side of the double pole switch to turn the display on and the other side to power up one of the cameras at a time.

The display has logic that if the second camera comes on, it switches to that input. So the original first switch is providing power to the display and front camera and the second switch is powering on the rear camera.

Also a center off switch would get knocked on a lot easier. The power for all this is on a switched ignition feed.

I have one more little issue to work on. The new rear camera came with a video cable that include a red power pigtail on each end coming out of the backside of the RCA connector. This is to run power to the remote camera. So I used that and the ground is returning via the aluminum box, truck bed, frame, etc. I am seeing a few lines flickering on the display, so I think I need a better ground.

Did you forget your nylon disk when towing the new home?

No the old dirty one on the Cardinal did that. Then gave me a new one at Guaranty! It should buff out! How are your brakes doing? New trailer does not brake as well as the Cardinal with the star wiring. I am up to 8.0 from 6.5. SNOKING

They are better but they just don't have that extra when needed. I can slide the OH ***** bar and it slows down but will not even come close to locking the tires.

We are in Elkhart, IN now and will have MorRyde add the 2" riser and possibly upgrade to their 9K system on Wednesday. I am waiting on a message from Joe Phillips at Chrysler hopefully he can get me a 2014 flash to fix this.

Let me know about the flash. I went from 6.5 on the Cardinal to 8 with the Bighorn and still think the brakes are a bit weak. I think the guy that posted about the 2015+ IBC might be right! They suck a bit.

Also I am wondering if RAM used pads that was to hard. At 13K I have seen very little brake dust on the front wheels. SNOKING

The brakes may just need time to bed in. When my trailer was new, I thought there must have been something wrong as they were really weak.....I adjusted the shoes, checked connections etc, with really no obvious change. Then they eventually just started working good.

Well the trailer made it from the factory back East to Junction City Oregon, then to a Show in Eastern Oregon, back to Junction City, then I towed in 450 miles. So they should be run in. These are Dexter's new self adjusting brakes BTW. Snoking

I noticed in the owners manual that on page 657 it states "Repeat steps 8-9 until GAIN setting is at a point just below trailer wheel lockup. If towing a heavier trailer, trailer wheel lockup may not be attainable even with the max GAIN setting of 10". Heavy Electric on the trailer brake page on the 8.4AN states above 10,000lbs.Possible with the trailer hook up,full fuel, trailer loaded with all the gear we use on our trips we could be over 10,000LBS.Certainly with the "Light Trailer" setting on the trailer page my trailer does not lock up,it slows it down real quick but not to the point of lock up.This is with the gain bar pulled completely together.I have never tried the "Heavy Trailer setting yet.Because with the Autobrake, and gain set at 6.5 the trailer brakes just fine. Also one thing I have noticed is that my AutoBrake setting it comes on as soon as I tap the brake, but as the truck slows down and I release the brake pedal, I some times never see the autobrake application again even when I am coming to a stop.Snoking nice view out the back, are you planning on painting a stripe on the back side of the receiver head to align with the pin.

On my Forest River owners website, there is a discussion about this awhile ago,one finally got to a RAM engineer,he stated that the ITBM will only produce about 70 percent power at below 30mph.And that no rememidy is coming until the next gen is out. Here is some picture they posted during this conversation. Also one owner stated that in city driving the ITBM had less voltage when set on "Light Trailer",when set on "Heavy Trailer" on interstate speeds the ITBM was much more aggressive....View attachment 95677

If there is a plug under the dash it should work. You may need to have the dealership deactivate the OEM controller thou.

I thought the 15's worked just like the MaxBrake?

Unfortunately NOT! The 12-14 seem to work great but they have done something to the 15 and 16's.

Supid RAM responded to my email and said to take it to my dealer. Dealers can not do anything about this IBC until RAM has a solution. Why waste my and the dealers time. Going to file on Safercar.gov.
