thuren fabrication makes a clamp for the new steering. give him a call or shoot him a email. real helpful guy. and he makes some nice stuff.

OK, I would like to order BD Steering Stabilizer from Genos, but also would like to do TSB#22-005-06 (Tie rod end/link upgrade). I have 2 questions:

1) Will the BD SS still mount to the frame after the upgrade??

2) Is the TSB upgrade actually an improvement in terms of RIDE and LONGEVITY?

All opinions are welcome, though of course I would love to hear from folks who have done either or both of these mods.

TIA

Glad to see I'm not the only one with steering problems. I did new ball joints and the steering the truck went to hell. I did the New 08 steering linkage it helped and hurt I also did the steering box stablizer. everything helped a small bit until I tightened up the backlash on the steering box that helped alot is almost normal again. I found with the new 08 linkage you feel the road much more if you hit a wash board set of bumps you feel the wheel rock a bit in your hands.

Oh, yes this kit from Dodge will bolt right on your 07 with out any problem.

Could you clarify what you mean by the new linkage helping AND hurting.

Also curious what year truck you did this on and which steering box stabilizer you used?

What I want to know is what is taking KORE so long to come up with a new clamp. How hard could that possibly be? Their last response was about 2 1/2 months ago, its a clamp, lets go. I got the standard "we're working on it" response to my email I sent them, amazing after sales service they've got there:mad:

Carli has had the stabilzer set up for the 08 steering for quite a while already :-laf

Some guys just lag

I know Kevin and Robyn (Mrs HRT) at Highollerztrux very well. They are awesome people and my dearest of friends. I have gotten all of my KORE stuff from there. I have found KORE to be disappointing in various areas of late and after seeing some of the Carli products and Don Thuren's products, its quite easy to see that KORE seems to be relying more on their name and marketing than on having a superior product. This and other reasons that don't need to be mentioned here are also why HRT no longer carries KORE and is now a Carli and Thuren dealer. The simple fact that KORE can't be bothered to expedit an updated clamp to fit the new Dodge steering is ridiculous for a couple of reasons. First, its a clamp for crying out loud, they don't have to reinvent the wheel, and they are leaving a lot of customers hanging who have to have steering repairs made. Second, they are sponsored my MOPAR, ya think they would have had a heads up and could have been proactive about it. I may just do what I read about a lot of other guys doing, pulling off the KORE and going to Carli or Don. #@$%!

Yes indeed, as does Carli I believe.

The fact that we have to go to ANOTHER vendor for the proper part on our "top of the line" KORE kit is what is rather irksome.

Like was said, this isn't reinventing the wheel ... it's a clamp.

i installed my 08 steering and thuren clamp with fox stabilizer. it made a night and day difference on my truck. mine has a 7 inch lift and the draglink seems to be alot flater and no where near the sway bar mounts as with the older style.

I could give you a long list of people that have done just that :-laf including me

Well, I guess everyone has been right. Kore has dropped the ball again. Not returning e-mails and giving no updates whatsoever. Looks like Thuren and Carli for me from now on.

We actually have a stabilizer that bolts right to the factory mount that comes with the 08+ style steering. No need to waste money buying a new clamp.

Well, the stabilizer I have is a Fox shock stabilizer and cost me a pretty penny. It also worked REALLY well. Rather than shelling out 300+ for a new one with a compatible clamp, I'd like to see if I could use the same stabilizer.

You could probably sell your setup then buy ours (Carli) and wind up putting some money in your pocket... .....
