At 30739 miles the OEM Firestone AT got sent to tire heaven. I got Michelin Defender LTX M&S at Costco. The FS AT's were down to 3 or 4 32nds and I was noticing a handling difference along with traction issues on wet pavement.
Costco is now part of the nanny state tire shops. I asked for 60 in the front and 50 in the rear. Supervisor came to we and said that they could not do that, as the truck calls for 55/80. I said look at door sticker for front, as it states 60 or 3020 according to the inflation chart to cover the RGAWR of 6K. They gave it back to me with 60 in the front and 75 in the rear. Before I left their lot I let the rears down to my normal 50 lbs bobtail inflation.
Handling appears to be back to what it was when it round off the lot. It seems to ride maybe a little softer than the OEM AT's.
Friday we have a little road trip so will see how they handle at higher speed.
I got them now so by the later part of Sept when we head out for the winter they will be run in a bit.
