Am considering selling my 98 12v 5spd 4X4 diesel and am looking for recommendations. Here’s the deal my wife hates driving the truck, it’s lifted plus it’s a stick (feels really BIG). As fuel prices and related costs continue to go up, it makes no sense to have this truck that sits 80% of the time, (only has 57K on it) so I want one she will drive.

Looking for a 03-05 auto 2wd - any one year better than the other more power, better trans etc? Appreciate your input and advice. Please try and be specific as to why one is better than the other.

My Wife even hated my '95 Gasser 1500 2wd for basic driving and really for backing. There are several option now out there that MAY take some of the pain away. look at backup cameras or backup sensors (Dodge has aftermarket sensors if not mistaken) Heck I'm adding sensors to my truck just as a safety feature for ME! (Wife wouldn't back up this truck on a $1000. 00 bet!) Fact is the Wife has only driven the truck 2 times and complained about it each time (Lucky me! She doesn't WANT to drive MY truck :-laf ) Do like I did, let her get a Subaru Outback with all the bells and whistles (HO6. 0 AWD, the works) and keep your truck for you!

Personally, I like the 04. 5 and I just so happen to know where you can get a real deal on one. Check mine out in the TDR classifieds. I have tube steps so the wife can get in and out very easy. My wife has no problem. You can fly up from San Diego to Medford and it is a BEAUTIFUL drive back down I-5. Tall trees, rivers and lakes!, until you get to Sacramento. then it is rather blaw. Anyway, If you go the the TDR classifieds, there are several including mine. If you like, I can send dozens of pictures. I hope this post isnt against the rules. If so, sorry Steve.
