I have a friend that just purchased an 06 2500 Cummins Automatic Ram.
Everything was fine until about 1500 miles and he started noticing a loss of fuel mileage, a noticeable change in the sound of the engine at speed and what he described as a "gurgling" sound sometimes during running.
He said the only thing he could think of that may have contributed to the problem was that after purchasing the truck, he was not able to follow the break in procedure top speed due to the fact of having to run at highway speeds soon after purchase. He did not tow with the vehicle during break in.
We live in Rockford Illinois area and he is unsure of the knowledge of the dealership mechanics. Can qualified Cummins mechs take care of warranty work or does all of this work have to go to the Dodge Dealership?
Thanks... . gary moore
