It is but I live quite some distance to a good dealer. The closest one might be an option for this issue (40 Miles) but I have had very poor service from them before. The good one, (80 Miles) does not have a restaurant nearby and you have to wait in the waiting room all day to get your truck back. Read..back pain. I plan to go to the nearest one to document a couple issues with the new truck and possibly get this looked at. I have two glass problems. A hazy spot in the windshield between the layers of glass and the front passenger door glass has four chips in it that look like defects to me. A couple of them have raised edges. Never seen anything like this before and I bought this with 11 miles on it and have not had anything hit it while driving. really odd and did not see them until I washed it for the first time. The hazy spot is in a corner and I could live with it but I'm concerned it might travel. Stuff you don't see when a salesman is yapping in your ear non stop.

I'm glad Canada noticed some people forget to turn on their lights but kept the "parking" option.

I'm glad to hear SOMEONE is finally noticing drivers with no sense. Every time I drive at night, I see MULTIPLE idiots driving around with no lights on but the headlights. DRL's should NOT be put on a vehicle that doesn't have auto-on lights, period.

That and I wish auto high beams would be made illegal. I've been blinded so many times by them. When it does happen, I blare my horn at the driver as they go by. They are probably clueless as to why I'm blaring my horn. I'd flash back, but my luck, they'd say I caused an accident... so I don't play that game as much as I really really want to... you blind me, I'll blind you.... but nah.

90% of my driving is usually pitch black at night. That other 10% is during the summer solstice when you got the longer days.

I almost thought there is a Story behind.
It is so hard nowadays to find good and knowledgeable workshop.

Nothing wrong with a short flash to an oncoming driver that forgot about his light.
If someone just switch his brights on and leave them on I might be tempted to do the same as well.

I’m guessing you have a Laramie or higher trim truck, and that your signature lights are one. Those are not headlights, and they are not DRL’s. They are their own light that cannot be turned off. Signature lights do not include any tail light.

As long as the ignition is on you have signature lights.

DRL’s are an option thru the Uconnect, and will utilize the low beams with stock programming.

The US switch is still 4 positions and will turn off the headlights in off. In parking light mode the signature lights go dim.

That is exactly what I have and what they do. So I presume the switch is okay but I do favor being able to turn all the lights off with the engine running. I've read it's not good to idle these 6.4's so I won't be doing much of that. Have to get a portable heater I guess.

Yes, it sounds like everything is working as Ram intended.

From what I understand they can be disabled with AlfaOBD/JScan, but it takes a wire also being cut.

I’d like to be able to disable mine at times, but not enough to cut a wire.

I agree on cutting the wire on these trucks. With my luck that would open a can of worms. I believe if it was diesel and I was going to idle a lot, I would look into that though. And maybe attach connectors in case the computer goes bonkers. It should be optional as well but Big Brother or the Nanny is trying to control my life. I'm a simple man with simple needs. Turn switch on for light and turn switch off for dark. I also notice I have to have the light switch in a particular position to use the high beams on steady. Haysuss Christo. Really????

They should make it that if the sensor thinks its dark enough and you put vehicle in gear, than headlights should come on! DRL should be below headlight sensor value when vehicle is put into gear. Pretty simple to do these days.

@AH64ID, in the "twilight zone" were you. Any luck or just scouting?

@Mike Wenrich the high beams will work in auto or headlight on mode. If you have auto high beams enabled they may not come on in auto mode as the truck senses too much oncoming light for auto high beams. Auto high beams only work when enabled and in auto mode.

@Topzide my wife and daughter had cow tags, but not enough weather to push the elk into the unit or off the private ground. No luck this year.
