I want to start Bombing my truck. I bought my test pipe today and looks like the CAT has been tampered with. I don't know yet. Then I looked at the P7100 pump and the paint is broke loose at the four bolt positions and the break away one is filed to accept a screwdriver! Lucky me, I think. The question I have is:If I had a new power plate already installed, would I be able to tell? The paint on the rest of the pump has never been tampered with. I'll sell my test tube if my Cat turns out internally spayed. You never know sometimes everything about your truck till you gut it. The truck was two years old when I bought it. Thanks, Herb

If you bought it from someone on this site you'll know it's bombed. Seriously, though if it has a TST plate in it already the plate itself will have a number on it. More than likely, however, it's had a "do it yourself diesel mechanic" hatchet job. You'd better get in there and find out what you do have. I've heard of some of these guys taking the plate out completely #ad
Bad, VERY BAD.

HerbW,

If you take the AFC cover off look at the plate without removing it. The stock has a couple of visable rivit heads and the after market is smooth. If it's a TST it will have a large number on the top.

DC Guys,

Thanks for the advice. If the weather gets warmer, I'll dig into it this weekend. It's snowing on my truck presently. Thanks again, Herb
