installing a new dd jammer turbo on my 97 12 valve and i notice the setup isn't quite the same... ... . i. e. the wastgate has a line back into the compressor housing where as my hx35 goes back to the pump. also the oil return line out of the turbo cannot be installed because it hits the wastegate

sooo...

I figure the oil return from a newer truck will solve that but the wastegate has me a little stumped guys i'm sure that someone is shaking their head and laughing right now but i just wanna hook it up right soo let the untold years of experience roll guys

Plug the hole in the compressor housing and run the wastegate using the line from your AFC. I think the plumbing you're seeing is for use on 24valve engines that don't have the AFC. I think you'll be just fine using the line from the AFC.

Can't help on the oil line issue as I'm not familiar with the wastgate set-up on this turbo.

Plug the line at the AFC housing and remove that steel line that goes across the motor and use the compressor fitting! Less lines going across the motor the better. .

As long as we're on this subject... My [stock] turbo has the steel line that runs from the wastegate across the motor to a fitting on the back of the AFC. The fitting on the AFC is a tee with another small rubber tube that runs up toward the front of the motor and hooks to a port in the driver's side of the head - under the intake air horn. What's that small tube for?

that tube provides feedback pressure to the AFC housing and increases the fuel flow volume in the pump as the boost goes up.

your truck savers:)

thanks for the info guys thats how i have it setup now to the dealership for a new oil return line ill let ya know how that goes Oo.

New turbo

Centeno, Your oil line should work you have to clock the turbo. You have to loosen the tubo housing and comp. then rotate the center to where you need to be. Thanks Steve

thanks steve

ok that info would have been handy before i ran the whole thing out of heater hose oh well both ways work but thanks for the info guy who sent me down pipe had it cut down so its too short for my aplication so i'm running it off the down pipe till i can get my new stack setup. couple close calls with the fuzz :-laf but it sounds unreal
