Lenny got to drive it and was offered a race with it after he ran, what, 690 on diesel only?
Lenny, what did you say to the race?![]()
Mark, stop being a hater. Just cause you can't make a set of twins work on a Dmax doesn't mean you need to bash.
Oh, was it mentioned it also has a DTT transmission? Maybe THAT'S why you're bashing...

I've never tried to build twins for a D-max. I wouldn't bet on me not being able to do it if I were you
The original post acted like it was a fast run. Did you think that was fast?

What I want to see is the pyro, and boost gauges! The speedo wraping around didnt look to impressive.

There have been alot of big claims on these twins but no facts yet, so until then I will sit here and post otherwise.
How effiecient were the first set of twins on a cummins? Probably not near as good as the set ups we have today. The D-Max is a powerful motor, (its been proven) but it still has a ways to go for R&D for a good set of twins, and there is alot less room to do such things as running diffrent charger set ups, so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

snowracer69 said:You are hating. You're hatin' on the game by discounting this run as "slow". Your pickup can't do what that Dmax does, and neither can mine. Heck, there are very few in the US that can do it on diesel alone, AND with 1200*F as max EGT, AND at only 40 psi, AND with stock injectors, AND weighing 8000 lbs, AND with a nutty Canuck at the wheel!
I'm betting you can't make a twin setup for a dmax... if you can, why not? There's big money in it if you get it right.

Not wanting to argue, but according to my watch his truck accelerated from 20mph to 110mph in 13 seconds. That is not exactly slow.
Mark_Kendrick said:Dockboy looks like he could lay a spankin on that dmax. . 12. 80 sec @ 107. 28 mph @ 7900 lbs.
That's pretty quick. Too bad it's a PHord![]()
