Just doing my duty in reporting the new wheels and tires on my '07. 5. Please see my new gallery for pics.
The tires are just Pro Comp Extreme ATs in 35x12. 5r18 (E rated). Very smooth for all 150 miles I have had them.
I am liking the wheels - they are Discount Tire house brand (MB Wheels) and are called the "72". They are 18x9 +25mm offset, which should be just about 6" back space. Fits the 35x12. 5s on the stock truck with NO rubbing (close everywhere - literally could not fit anything else). Big surprise to me is that while Discount was mounting them up, the manager informed me these wheels are hub centric and use conical lugnuts (sound familiar?) I have not verified the hub-centric part myself (the hub covers do go on from the outside, but can't seem to get them off). These things even have reliefs for rotor clips. He also said they have matching trailer wheels, but that is just a little too bling for me. If anybody is interested in Tucson, Mike James is my buddy and manages the Discount Tire on Oracle.
Next, I just need to get the nose up a little . . .
