I have to agree about the fuel tank, I read on another forum, that all 2017 Ford Super Duty Trucks will have a 48 Gal. fuel tank. It didn't say if it was just for Diesel or gasoline. I wonder how long will it take Ram or FCA to step forward and put a larger tank in the Ram Trucks?

Ram will be at least a year behind. Is the redesign scheduled for 2019?

I heard that all 2500/3500s will come with the highest HP motor and the best transmission at no extra cost. Also a optional 48 Gallon fuel tank!!.......My Bad I'm thinking of the new
Ford's.

I guess I missed something with my 2014 Ram, I have no issues seeing the hitch, and aligning the pin box, I do the same as you. Mines the Mega Cab, but that shouldn't make a difference.

Same here... Mega cab... I have a pet carrier in the back seat so I hitch with the cargo cam.

I would like to see the extended cab come back, like my 2nd gen had. I would also like to see the three inches they took of the short box come back. Heck a 6'8" short box is about the right size.

From the spy photos of the 2018 1500 they are making the darn cab even bigger. Really we need bigger cabs? And watch they will do what they did before and take the cab length out of the short box. So it pretty much looks like whatever the 1500 cabs look like is what we will get.

Some will be standard redesigns. Others will be expensive options.

Sort of off topic but it would be nice if Dodge upped the payload on the next generation 1500 series trucks to compete more closely with GM, Ford and Toyota. A fully decked out 1500 can have less than 1000 lbs payload and less than 1800 lbs on a 2500.

Sure why not? This truck will be 4 years old still have a factory warranty and net a good trade amount. Who would not want a 100 year anniversary CUMMINS???

Thanks but that does not bother me with the newer trucks. I have first year with factory rear and have no issues.
