NHTSA Is investigating 1/2 million 99-00 Ford 250/350 for brake pull. This investigation is based on 23 complaints and 2 accidents.

WHAT ABOUT OUR RAMS ???? #ad

Maybe if folks start complaining to the NHTSA complaints site instead of posting their problems here things could be fixed on a recall. Seems like we could log up 23 complaints in less than half a day. I'm sure they take brake problems very seriously.

Just a warning, you will need your VIN number when you report. I reported my throttle cable while I was there,my brakes work fine. If you want to search for recalls, other complaints or TSBs the only way it works is if you enter Dodge Truck for make,Ram for model and the year. If you enter 2500, 3500,SLT, 4x4 or anything else you will come up empty.

Jack, if you see a car load of guys in black suits run like he!!. They may not be happy with you after this is done!

Illflem has the right idea; it seems we are so committed to our Cummins that we just put up with the problems that DC won't fix even though they are the same from '94 to current model. My humble opinion.

Hey Tracy----Thanks for the tip. I will call Mr Borris tomorrow AND LODGE MY COMPLAINT. I think i'll start checking my customers cables when they come in for brakes. You can always tell when there is a problem with a part when the dealer has several in stock. ----Sam

Thanks for the info on possible investigation. Work at Dana, know
there is a problem with scrub radius
on 2nd gen up to '01. (Chrysler dictated
this). Have had 2500 in 8 times for
left pull when braking. TSB's are exhausted.

With 123 replies so far on my 94-01 Steering Problems Post!

Think everyone should be complaining about the steering on these Dodges. Will get my father in laws VIN number and go post complaint!

Suggest everyone else do the same, then Maybe DC will take TDR serious as a group!

I think NHTSA will try to find anyting wrong with F*** products and make them recall their vehicles and repair them. F*** is on NHTSA's 'S#it List' because of the Firestone fiasco.

Daimler Chrysler has far fewer safety issues than the other 2 major american automakers in the U. S, in NHTSA's eyes. ?

Hemi,it's sort of funny, when I was looking though the complaints received on my '95 Ram(671 of them),there were a quite a few of complaints for tread separation on the stock Goodyear's,bunch of copycats looking for new tires if you ask me.
Best complaint was some guy sitting on his porch when his truck starts in gear and drives off while starting on fire at the same time,no one was in it.
