Just for grins, IRC, or some other form of chat?

The reason I ask is that I'm behind a vBulletin site, and I'd like a chat system that authenticates into it, that doesn't hammer on the server.

Ya know Steve, we get on the site and you, myself and others talk. And you are always nice and tell us what you are doing to the site and other computer geek stuff and we all nod, shake our heads and make condensending sounds, but you wanna know something? We have no idea what a client(whom I always thought of as a "John")was doing in a naked chat and modification of his authenticatins through some bulletin board data base framastat. So,... ... in saying all that, I want to ask you this, Does your head ever hurt with all that information, edgeumacation, and stuff floating around in there? :-laf
