We avionics types "discovered" the TDR (Time-Domain Reflectometer, not this fine group or magazineGlad it's fixed. Probing is fine but the puncture needs to be sealed, when I was still working I would use 3m scotchkote but it seem's a little pricey for the individual especially when your not using it most of the time. Maybe liquid tape ?. Just a FYI for any future endeavors. It took 50ish years for that B-52 wire to burn in half and it was in the middle of about a 100 conductor bundle.
