2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission No power mirrors,possible add-on?

Any or best way to add power mirrors to my 02 Dodge,Diesel,4x4,DRW?

If you looking for regular power mirrors, they cheap on ebay and TDR clasified $100 set, then find the switch.



I went route one, ( I have standard Power mirrors now) I have rounded up all the correct parts, but have complted the swap over yet, should be this month, a rainy day project (snow day maybe)

Also, just as a note, your 2002 truck should already have the wiring harness there so if you want regular power mirrors (the small ones) it's as simple as bolting them on and connecting the wires to the mirrors and the control switch that you'll have to buy also. If you want the power towing mirrors you'll have to get the 2nd gen bases and the 3rd gen mirrors and do a retro fit and then do the rest. See the following link for instructions.

Many thanks. Is there any easy way to check if wireing harness is in the door before I get started?

If you pull the panel partially off at the top front corner the wires and the plug should be right there attached just as if there were already power mirrors on the truck.

I did this to mine works great but to this day I have not found the wire to connect to the mirror defrost switch I bought the new HVAC control with the switch buit can not find the wire to get it connected to work any ideas there please

power mirrors

I put power mirrors on my 02 everything was there. BTW I have a drivers door mirror selector switch for an 02 its in the classifieds. I had a slight problem and thought it was the switch, its brand new in box.

Wrong (assuming you're talking about OEM mirrors). They do not exist!



The OEM power tow mirrors are a third generation sheet metal thing. They fit 2002+ Ram 1500's and 2003+ 2500's & 3500's. The only OEM tow mirrors that will fit a 2002 Cummins/Ram are manual, non-heated mirrors.

No You need to get a set of manual second generation and a set third generation powered, then mate the two of them. Sort for the instruction
